Hi Allen,
A huge THANK YOU to you and Beetle for such a fun and memorable wedding reception! After seeing Beetle together for ten years at the Continental Club, it meant the world to me and Rene to have them play at our wedding. I really appreciate the band helping out with announcements, and going with the flow that evening. Friends and family had an incredible time – sing-a-longs, dancing, crying, and more dancing! My aunt and uncle even joined the band as they played their last songs ; ) I hope the band enjoyed themselves!

Hi Allen,
Groove Knight made my husband’s birthday party a great success! They did a fantastic job and everyone loved the band. You and Dave were very easy to work with in the planning process. All band members were fun and professional. Two thumbs up!
Hande Castiglione
Hi Allen,
The Leo Polk Trio were really great, lots of compliments and very fun! Perfect fit for this event. Thanks again for all of your help, we will be in touch soon for future events! Have a great weekend!

Allen,Thank you for following up. The Pictures were absolutely perfect. Several people came up to us during the reception asking who the band was, and we’ve had more ask us who they were after the fact. Adding the horns was a good choice. We all had a blast. I hope they had a good time as well and that nobody got too out of hand for them…
We really appreciate your help with everything. The whole reception was even better than we expected. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do for you in the future. Feel free to use me as a reference if you ever need one – I’m happy to talk to anybody and give as many referrals as possible. Just let me know.
Thanks again!

Allen, I have been meaning to contact you. We can’t say enough about how great Commercial Art is. We had a number of musicians (our generation and the younger set) among our guests who really appreciated their talent and professionalism. Everyone had a great time – the dancing was a joy to see. But, most of all, they went out of their way to make the evening special. It was sprinkling lightly when I arrived with the bride 30 minutes before the wedding, and they were thinking they needed to pack up, even though the wedding coordinator was somewhat frantically brandishing her I-Phone that said it was not raining. The band generously agreed to put tarps over their equipment to see if it would blow over, which it did. (I stayed out of that part – my husband handled it. I couldn’t deal with anything else at that point . . .) Anyway, the weather was absolutely perfect, the music was great, the timing of everything went just as planned, and the band made it all seem effortless.
My husband and I were dancing toward the end when the music got really going. What a great band – the guitar and vocals were incredible.
I particularly enjoyed talking with Robert Aquilar afterward. He was so sweet and said that he had never seen such a send off for the bride and groom, that he judged it to be a sign of the love everyone had for them. I thought that was very nice. It turns out that they were the house band for Ruggles years ago. That’s where my husband and I had our first date in 1992, so that was kind of poignant, as well.
Thank you for all your help with choosing the band and coordinating everything. I really, really appreciate it.
Lauren Griffith
Dear Allen,
Overall, my feedback is that you were spot on with matching my interests with both of the bands.
Commercial Art was incredible! They played a wonderful mix of both my requested songs as well as more current songs. They had an interesting audience to deal with, ranging in age from one year to over 60, but by the end of night everyone had been on the dance floor at least once, and most multiple times! Their range was amazing – from Bobby Darin to the Eagles to Adele, all done beautifully well. Of particular note were the female vocalists on the Adele songs – Adele needs to watch out for some heavy duty competition. The band members were all lovely personally and professionally off the charts. I must add that a number of our friends were blown away that we actually had Commercial Art at the party. I learned they are famous in certain Houston circles! Being a Californian now, I was not aware of that. Their reputation combined with their gorgeous music made it an extra special night for many who said they couldn’t wait to tell people they were at birthday party with Commercial Art!
The Luxury Trio was equally perfect for the dinner cruise. Their sound was strong and very danceable, but also given the enclosed space, not overwhelming for the setting. Their mix of music was just right for the crowd. They each were gracious as well as talented. We had a lot more “audience participation” on Saturday night – with guests wanting to share stories or make toasts. They were accommodating and fun about some unplanned interruptions – and then started playing again just as soon as the speeches were finished. Great sound, great attitude!
I will highly recommend both bands – and you – for anyone looking for top quality entertainment in the future.
Thank you for making my husband’s 60th birthday weekend extra special,
Linda P.
Allen,
Thanks again for all of your work in helping to make my parents’ 50th anniversary party run perfectly. Everything went extremely well, and the guests were delighted with the music. I knew David Caceres‘ group would do an amazing job, so I was very happy to hear all of the guests praising their performance. I joked with my dad before hand that I had booked an 80’s cover band (he believed me), so he was thrilled to hear the group play his favorite jazz standards. People were up dancing, having a wonderful time.
The entire night went perfectly, and your musicians were an integral part of making that happen!
Thank you again,
Jonathan Faro
Thank you Allen! I loved Uptown Drive and they were an absolute pleasure on-site to work with. When I spoke to our clients at the event they were both thrilled. We will definitely be looking to you for that group again in the future!! Great recommendation. I appreciate it.
Have a great weekend!!
Best,

Commercial Art were PERFECT!!!
I thought they were amazing. Great job with our first dance (“Something’), good mix of rock/funk/dance; tight, well-played. We got a LOT of compliments on them. Oh, and good energy. And very nice when we spoke with them.
Nice bonus in their closing with “Don’t Stop Believin'”, leading to Mini and some of her acapella bandmates joining them on stage. Great time and great way to end the night.
Really, they were great. Thank you!
And thank you for all you did for our wedding. You are one of the core folks who made this possible.
Best,
Ken Scudder and Mini Timmaraju
Allen:
The Spiffingtons were outstanding and made the party. Everyone kept asking me who they were, and they congratulated me for having them.
Darryl Malone
Hi Allen-
Infinite Groove was perfect Saturday night and I had a lot of people say how much they liked them as well. Please thank them for indulging me and playing September again as an encore.
Thanks so much again for all of your help!

Allen:
Saturday night at the Parador went great for us and no small part of that was The Spiffingtons. We got tons of complements about the band. They did a great job. Danny and the band members were easy to work with, they were very accommodating, and they had the dance floor rocking. It was all very cool. The Spiffingtons turned out to be a great choice for us! We would highly recommend them.
Thanks for all your coordination and general help.
Father of the Bride, Houston, Texas
Commercial Art were fabulous – The band was everything my daughter dreamed of. They played the father daughter dance and first dance on time. Towards the end EVERYONE was up dancing. I would have them again anytime!! Thank you so much for working with me. You made the transaction so simple and you kept me on task.
Thanks again Allen –
Sandy Rainey
Hi Allen.
A very late thank you to say Punch Bowl was incredible. This was probably the best gala we’ve had despite the rain. Thank goodness you were able to safely fire things back up because people were ready to dance! Your band is the best we’ve had so far…and that’s saying A LOT.
Totally great night, amazingly enough….cuz it could have gone the other way!!!
Thanks again,

Dear Allen and The Spiffingtons,
Thank you so much for being the Best Band ever! We seriously had the most amazing night of our lives and have you to thank for keeping the dance floor poppin!
Enjoy the upcoming holidays with your loved ones and hopefully we will see you at more weddings in the future!
All Our Best,
Jodi & Mikey Gough
Allen-
OH. MY. GOD.
ECLIPSE knocked it out of the ballpark the other night (Jan. 4th)! You cannot imagine how many people have fawned all over the band and the music played at the reception. I have given your name and the band’s name to so many people, it is CRAZY!
I hope that they had as much fun playing as everyone did DANCING ALL NIGHT!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Ann Watkins
Dear Allen,
Good Morning.
I want to let you know that The Groove Knight was absolutely fab-u-lous on Friday night!! They are incredibly talented, read the crowd really well, very entertaining and play great music. In addition, they are all very kind and nice people.
Our daughter Delaney and my Facebooks/emails blew up with party photos, comments, thank you’s and so much more. We had guests telling us it was the BEST party they have been to and everyone wanted more info about the Band. Hopefully, you guys will get some additional bookings, too.
Even the restaurant party coordinator said that rarely do they see “old” (I use that word carefully since I am in that category) and young people dancing together on the dance floor like they did at our party.
Many thanks to YOU and The Groove Knight for a wonderful B’Day Celebration!
With much appreciation,
Beverly Williams
“Commercial Art and Wayne D. Holt were truly unbelievable. Wayne Holt’s music was beautiful – I was so caught up in the ceremony and my dad hired a bagpiper to surprise me – that I can’t really say much about him – but he was very well received by the guests. He did a great job providing background music and not overpowering the setting.
The band were phenomenal. The lead singer has a fantastic voice and they were great performers all together. My uncle liked the sax player so much he went up and introduced himself. Everyone called him Kenny G. I can’t say enough great things about Commercial Art. I would have them again in a heart beat. Fantastic job. Also did a great job on our first dance song. Loved, loved, loved it.
Thanks so much for organizing it all for me. It turned out fabulous. Thanks again.”
Denise Kim
“Bayou Roux was, and this is no exaggeration, awesome. The diversity of sound within the Zydeco genre is unparalleled. Everyone – from the children to our senior guests – enjoyed their music.
It was a delight working with you and Bayou Roux.”
Octavia Johnson, PDR
“Feedback would be PERFECTION! The Texas Tycoons were absolutely the best! The party hosts are thrilled as was each and every guest! Paul was fantastic to work with on the prelim stuff and each one of the guys was so very kind, polite and so professional! It was an honor and a privilege to work with them!
Thank you so much for all of your hard work and efforts on our behalf! I would do it again, in a heartbeat!”
Vincent Lipe, Acquisitions Event Management
“I just wanted to extend my gratitude to you and the David Beebe Band for an incredible job at our Christmas party. A great time was had by all and everyone is still raving about how great it was. You made me a rock star! Thanks so much for everything!!”
Cynthia Bowen, Wison
“Thanks so much for hooking us up with the Texas Tycoons. They were superb. The whole day was perfect and the band played a huge part in that, – brilliant performance. Thank you!”
Matt Eccles and Lindsey Godfrey
“Thank you for your help & guidance in finding our wedding band! Password was beyond perfect…they truly were everything we wanted & more…they got the dance floor hoppin’ & kept it that way…they even interacted with me & all the guests – loved them! And thank you for all of your advice & professionalism. We hope to work with you again really soon!”
Julie and Will Thomas

Pamela Griffin
“Working with you and your talented bands is a pleasure and best of all a client-pleaser!”
Christa Scannell, The CE Group
“Thank you very much for all you did setting up and organizing the band Saturday night for our reception. Alterego was awesome. Everyone had a great time dancing, and the play selection was great. Thank you again for everything.”
David Underwood, Jr.
“Just wanted to thank you for everything! The Tycoons were excellent!!!!!! I had the best time and of course did not want the party to end!!!!! They are so talented and everyone was very impressed. Thank them for me and for also arranging for those songs that I requested. That was so thoughtful! They are a great group of gentlemen indeed!”
Mandy Ciotti
“Thank you for all your help and work for the IFSA Conference! You were great to work with and a wonderful talent, too. It was a great success and the Committee had only positive comments to share.”
Kerri McKewin, International Flight Services Association
“When lesser talent agencies struck out, Allen Hill Entertainment hit a home run. Our high-profile client needed a band to inject some razzle-dazzle into a potentially dull weeknight event. Allen Hill delivered with an off-the-beaten path recommendation that only entertained the audiene at the event but actually boosted ticket sales!”
Shannon Langrand, Langrand & Company
“You are tops in my book.”
Barbara Caswell
“You are a sincere joy to work with and we appreciate your talents.”
Whitney McPhail, Corporate Meetings and Incentive Planner
“I can’t thank you and the El Orbits enough for making our party such a success. Everyone had a great time and it was 90% ’ll have an opportunity to work together again.”
Linda Hoffman, CDM
“I received a lot of compliments on the band, mostly from the Partners of the firm so needless to say they were very pleased. Thank so much for coordinating!”
Candice Quinn, Salient Partners
“I am writing to thank you and the other El Orbits for the outstanding job y’all did at our wedding in Beaumont a few weeks back. I’ve lost count of how many of our family members and friends have commented on their enjoyment of the band. I’m especially appreciative since the wedding band was the only thing I was entrusted to pick out. My credibility with the in-laws got a real boost when y’all came through like you did. Apart from the great job y’all did at the reception, I know that you made life a lot easier on Courtney (my mother-in-law) by being so easy to plan with before the wedding. She was probably your biggest fan before she’d ever heard you play. Thanks for being so agreeable and fun to work with.”
Jimmy Miller
“I’ve never seen as many people on the dance floor at this party as I did Saturday night. From our oldest to youngest donors–everyone enjoyed the music. Thank you!”
Anneliese Davis, Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas
“We had a blast!”
Sean Bohn
“You are largely responsible for the success of the event. It really was bigger, better and more fun this year. We are most grateful for all of your help.”
Sheila Cheaney, Jane’s Due Process, Inc.
“Your professionalism and working style make taking care of the client easy and fun. Thanks again!”
Melinda Corder, Phares Corder Entertainment
“I rec’d you card today but I wanted to reciprocate and thank you and the rest of the band. Everyone in attendance, even the shy ones who didn’t get up to dance, raved about you guys. You play the kind of music my generation grew up listening to and it is great to re-live those moments. Also, that kind of music is very easy to dance to, even without being drunk. Finally, you play it very well because you have a lot of talent. Thanks again and hopefully we will cross paths in the future.”
Robert Rodriguez
“I wanted to tell you again how happy we were with the music. It was exactly what we wanted, and I can’t tell you how many people asked Megan and me how we found the band. Our guests had a great time and the music was a key part of that.”
Chris Jordan
“We received tons of calls and e-mails from family and friends who said it was the most fun that they had ever had at a wedding reception. I think most people thought we were nuts for bringing a band from H-town. Now they know the power of the oldies. It is undisputed.”
