The El Orbits are one of Houston's most fun and best variety bands. The El Orbits play every Monday night from 9 - 11 pm at The Continental Club (3700 Main), have released four CDs for Freedom Records and won multiple Best Cover Band awards from the Houston Press. After many years at the helm of The El Orbits, David Beebe has moved to Marfa. Veteran El Orbits Tomas Escalante (lead vocals), Jim Henkel (guitar/vocals), The Dazzling Pete Gray (piano/vocals), Allen Hill (bass/vocals) and Eric C. Hughes (drums) are now in charge of the mellow lounge sounds that put a smile on everyones face and keep the dancers dancing!
